My Voice Experience
Basically, my life is my voice. I've never been the most remarkable person physically, but I've always been able to entertain people with my voice. It started out as doing funny voices during jokes and stories, and eventually evolved into me doing impersonations of famous people. One of my earliest I remember doing was William Shatner and Sean Connery. I'd do pretend conversations between them for my family and they thought it was just the best. As I grew up, I tended to have more interest in the voices behind cartoons than most of my friends. The one show that comes to mind is Dragonball Z. The fact that they not only had to provide a good reading for their lines, but also match the mouth movements made for another language amazed me. That's also when I began following certain actors and seeing how they evolved over time, trying to follow in their footsteps.
My Training
The majority of my training comes from getting out there and performing. Performing speeches in High School definitely helped. Also, I decided to try and record my own version of what I would sound like as a Radio DJ. So I did a couple of episodes of myself as a DJ. Then, for a while, I worked in a call center for an insurance company, which helped train my voice as well. As I said, though, the majority of my experience comes from practicing as often as I can.
