Voice Description

I have a typical "girly" voice, i.e. it is soft, sweet and some times screechy while singing .. although i do love experimenting and immitating voices that are manly, hoarse and unusual for the fun of it. While i speak it is smooth.

I can speak in different languages- Hindi, English apart Tamil is my mother tongue, i also know Malayalam. I can also manage accents such as bengali, marathi, bihari, gujarati, hyderabadi fairly well. In foriegn languages i have a vague knowledge of spanish but not completely.

My Voice Experience

Im a young enthusiastic new entrant in to this profession. I want to start a fresh in to this profession using my valuable resource - my Voice! I started training in Carnatic classical since the age of 5 and since then music and singing have become inherent, its only after school, in my college did i get the chance to perform publically twice. It was heartening to know that people enjoyed my singing. Have also participated in a popular tv shows audition, cleared the first round as well.Hence singing, of all the uses of voice is my speciality!

My Training

Have trained in Classical Carnatic music for 7 years, 5 years in Trivandrum , under Mr. Vamanan Namboodri and 2 years with Ms. Vishalam Venkatachalam.

I have recieved a professional degree in Architecture from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.

Additional Skills

Apart from singing i am generally associated to all other artistic and creative skills, I have learned dance from Regatta School of Dance, Trivandrum for 3 years. I am also skilled in visual arts and graphics, being an architect.
