Voice Description

Friendly, clear, businesslike, sincere, as a longtime classroom teacher I know how to get through to my listeners and make them want to hear my messages. I am very experienced at narration too and can make complex subjects understandable. People tell me my voice is very "easy on the ear," and I do not have an accent or dialect of any sort. I'm "American English" speaking. I am warm-voiced and can be fun or humorous, smooth and professional at all times, yet, never "stuffy" or "stiff." I am versatile and will always take your direction.

My Voice Experience

As a longtime teacher, I'm used to speaking in public, and for many years, people told me I should be doing voiceover work. I took their advice. I am experienced but not "jaded," and I am ever-enthusiastic about your projects!

My Training

I am degreed in biology, English, other sciences. I am certified to teach all sciences, English, and communications applications of all types. I also am an experienced writer for educational purposes. My educational level particularly suits me for more "complex" narrations, particularly those in my fields of expertise. I have studied voiceover techniques with Bettye Zoller among others and am continuing my voiceover technques study in ongoing workshops and classes.

My Studio Equipment

I have my own studio, but I am not knowledgeable at all. My daughter set it up and I can record auditions and send them as MP3 files. I do, however, have access to a professional studio in Dallas.
