My Voice Experience

Growing up in Cincinnati, this young songbird lead various choirs, bands, and ensembles prior to her eighteenth birthday. While attending Kentucky State University, she performed with Funk-a-fied Band and Show, which produced artist Reggie Calloway of Midnight Star. During this time the band opened for Earth, Wind, and Fire, The Jimmy Castor Bunch, Tavares, and Donald Byrd and the Blackbyrds. They also toured the Midwest, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

In California, Cheri accomplished songwriting and vocal production to broaden her experiences, resulting in her becoming a BMI songwriter .

Gifted in all facets of the Entertainment Industry Cheri has performed on radio, television, and corporate board rooms, endorsing brand name products.

My Training

Cheri moved to California where she studied jazz composition, voice, and acting at San Francisco State University. Music opportunities took her to Boston, MA where Cheri studied at the African American Performing Arts Center and landed a role in the theater production, "Black Nativity" as soloist. She ventured to Cincinnati before going back to California and studied acting at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and voice at the Music Art Center. Some of Cheri's credits include:
