Voice Description
My voice is pretty versatile; I can adapt to any vocal situation. I can create any mood with my voice. I think my voice is unique in the aspect that I can be as proper as a business professional/news broadcaster or as urban as needed. Although I hail from Texas, most people wouldn't recognize it because I can imitate almost any voice.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

My Voice Experience
Speaking normally, I have a deep alto voice, but singing, I'm a soprano. I have fooled many friends and family members by my many accents. Once, I set up my voicemail as an Indian woman, and everyone who called thought they had the wrong number, so no one left messages. Luckily, I had caller ID, so I called everyone back, and they told me they thought I had changed my phone number! I have been hung up on by my own parents because they thought they had the wrong person. I think being vocally versatile to this extent is wonderful! I have also imitated elderly people and had operators on the other line believing I was hard of hearing and was an 70 year old lady.
My Training
Some people have to go to school to hone their craft, while others just have the natural gift. I find myself in the latter minority. Once I noticed that I was convincing, I decided to take it a step further. I have also had to play various characters in the college opera, using a wide range of vocal timbres, which has allowed me to hone this craft.
My Studio Equipment
Sonar 3 Producer's Edition for vocal recording and mixdowns, Reason 3.0 Studio for music/track recording, 2 condenser microphones and M-Audio monitor speakers, Creative Audio Speakers, M-Audio Pre-Amp with phantom power.
Additional Skills
I am currently an elementary school teacher, and sometimes to get the students' attention, depending on their grade level, I may use an Elmo voice, a "Valley Girl" voice or anything else that I can think of at the spur of the moment that will catch them off guard and get their attention. We played a vocal timbre guessing game, where the students had to guess who was talking, and they didn't know I was going to play. When I read the sentence required, no one had a clue! I had to finally admit that it was me!
