I've been voice-acting for roughly 8 years and participated mainly in community-based voice-over productions before branching out to professional online work. I've done a few charity events and an audiobook, spanning 12 chapters and over 7 hours of recorded voice work. (I am willing to share a chapter or two as reference.)
I haven't received any paid training but took several audio-engineering college courses, bought some books on technique and general information and have been thoroughly critiqued by amateurs and pros alike. My current pursuit of a M.D. in Clinical Psychology has familiarized me with the emotions and empathy necessary to portray realistic performances. I still keep in contact with friends all over the nation whom actively voice-act and therefore currently network with other voice-over artists, some professional, others aspiring.
I have access to a Shure SM7B routed through a Mackie 402-VLZ3 mixer as well as access to $1,000-2,000 microphones in sound-proofed concrete-sealed recording booths. The booths are seldom occupied for long periods of time and serve as my primary means of recording, which means that I have to designate time slots in which to record, however I use Adobe Audition 3.0 to mix on my own time, any time.
I'm a giant geek as far as personal hobbies go and diligently invest time in my hobbies, particularly anything involving computer usage. I purchase high-quality top-of-the-line headphones and glasses that protect my eyes from harsh artificial light, allowing me to work on the computer for hours on end without fatigue.
All relevance aside, I'm a fun guy with a versatile sense of humor and sharpened social skills. I'm very reachable, through texting, emails and various social networking sites. I don't charge exorbitant prices and am willing to negotiate. I encourage my clients to request a sample, as I have both character and narration demos. I firmly believe I can capture what you're looking for and am willing to work with you to achieve it. Thank you.
