Voice Description

I have the ability to adjust my voice to suit the mood of what I am doing. For example if I where to be doing an ad for a luxury vehicle I can make my voice sound excited, convincing, and that I would buy that car. If I where doing something more serious I can make my voice sound concerned, empathetic, and make the person listening that may have that condition that this product that may be beneficial to their health. I can also change it up and make it sound more sexy and seductive if need be or even professional and teacher like. I can make my voice sound soft, caring, and sincere as well. I also speak fluet spanish. I speak Puerto Rican dialect. I can speak fast paced and I can even sound "ghetto" for lack of a better term. My voice ranges from professional to street. I make up voices as I go, especially when I am telling a story.

My Voice Experience

Ever since I can remember I have been a talker and for the time that I can't remember I am told constantly about how much I talked. I used develope crazy stories and put on preformance for my family. I talked so much that as a child I was put in solitary confiment for talking too much in the classroom. As I keept getting older I started to learn how to channel all my energy as a talker and became a story teller, mainly stories that I made up. One of my favorite jobs as a teenager involved talking, go figure. I worked for a laser tag place where I had to brief the customers on how to play the game. That's when I realized how much I liked to release words from my mouth. I like to talk so much that I majored in it in college. I have a degree in communications/broadcasting. I have worked for a number of radio stations and now I currently work for a mortgage company where I talk to customers all day long on the telephone. I have recorded news stories, show promos, commercials, and I have read the newspaper over the air. I have participated in talk radio, I have hosted my own radio show, and I have even co-hosted a show. Co-hosting a show provided me the opportunity to learn how to play off of what the other person is saying. Currently I do a lot of talking over the phone one on one with customers. I answer phones and transfer them to the proper person. I also record my fellow co-workers voicemails. Another thing that I have done is given announcements over the intercom at a previous job.

My Training

I have a bachelor of arts in communications. I took classes on inflection, tone, enunciation, and so on. I learned how to speak into a microphone and how to deliver messages over the radio. I have also hosted numerous events around my campus. I hosted homecoming events, concerts, banquents, and even led meetings. I even anchored our campus news cast a few times.
