My Voice Experience

Two years ago a global company bought out a smaller, California-based construction style company. During the two years of transition (after) nobody wanted to redo the local company's pre-recorded voice mail system. I took the spot. I used my 3 month training of in-studio voice talent time (from another year) and took my chances.

The technical person for the voice mail system asked me to read off a script and recorded my words. About two months later, the script changed. So he decided to use my voice one more time.

I was the voice for Johnson Controls San Jose! (At least until they decided to use someone else in Pleasanton) This was in 2007.

My Training

Did a class with a professional based in a Fremont recording studio off of Niles Road. Three months of working in front of the mic. The students never received our copies of the work in studio.

My Studio Equipment

Voice synthesizer, standalone mic with headphones, padded walls and separate recording rooms.

Additional Skills

I'm an individual contributor with extensive research, data entry and effective interaction experience in personal and professional settings. I've continuously delivered over 16 years of positive customer service involving persons with various backgrounds. My communication skills has proven effective in my interaction with everyone I've come in contact with. I have a positive outlook and consistently perform with clear instruction.

My background consists of about 1 year of promotional work with talent agencies and product demos, 5 years of professional accounting work, about 20 years of accomplished poetry and a love of learning languages. Took French in high school, learned Sign Language in college and formerly interested in speaking Chinese. I can type 60 wpm and almost a pro in computer-related tasks in assisting VP's and setting up events. I've always thoroughly enjoyed speaking over the intercom and delivering presentations in front of a crowd.
