Voice Description

My voice is naturally husky RP (posh crumpet!). It lends itself to sexy, seductive tones for commercials. However the clear pronunciation also adds clarity and authority to corporate presentations. Being naturally deep in tone, my voice is soft but can be heightened to show excitement and capture the audience's attention without needing to shift to harsh tones. Through my theatrical experience, I can embue my voice with genuine emotions to match the script's requirements.

My recent recording of a children's nursery rhyme has received some very positive feedback:

I have experience of corporate presentations and public service announcements. In addition to recording work, I have a range of fringe theatre experience from comic two-handers to classic poetry presentations. This gives me a clear understanding of how to utilise my voice to meet the needs of your project.

My Studio Equipment

My partner manages the studio so he has the knowledge... I can tell you that he uses senheiser microphones and compressors for recording into Cubase and then uses SoundForge for production.

I have worked extensively as a conference chair, so have a great deal of experience of live presentations.

I also work as a freelance events and marketing consultant, which is all about communicating with an audience - perfect experience for getting the right tone in a voiceover. I can also offer excellent skills as a copywriter if you need extra input into your script.

As a freelancer, my time is flexible to work to your deadlines. If you need me to come to a studio to record, I am based both in Cumbria and London so can travel easily to all UK destinations.
