Voice Description
I have been told on a fairly consistent basis that my voice is deep, sexy and extremely easy to listen to. It can be rich and smooth for narration, commercials and trailers, edgy, sexy and suspenseful when necessary, and captivating for narratives, as well as fun and fast for everything from toys to motocross spots and concise for technical presentations and PBX systems. Basically, a James Earl Jones / Darth Vader / Morgan Freeman / Thorough Ravenscroft / James Coburn / Gregory Peck / Steve Sabol / John Vecenda type of voice, with the added attribute of being completely unique.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
Just about any of the thick U.K. brogues... from British aristocracy to cockney. Northern Irish, Glasgow Scottish, Highland Scottish, South African (Transvaal), New Delhi Indian, Australian - from Sydney to Outback, French, German, Dutch, Middle Eastern, Greek, Israeli, Italian, Russian, Hungarian, Canadian, Hispanic, "angry" Japanese, Korean, as well as New Orleans, American Deep South and Texas drawl, Virginian and Carolinian, New Jersey, Brooklyn and Chicagoan.
My Voice Experience
My experience is admittedly sparse, but not nonexistent... I have done Adult movie trailers, most recently "Rush" from Digital Playground. I have recorded a PBX system, and announced at local "wrestling" matches. I have done a few "voice-on-phone" parts for small, independent films.
My Training
I attended Aliso Creek Studio's Commercial Voice-over workshop, under the tutelage of William Williams in Burbank, CA.
My Studio Equipment
I have been running a Mac since there WERE Macs - originally Photoshop, Quark, PageMaker, Illustrator and so on, and I am a steadfast believer in the "simpler is better" school of thought. Having said that, the center of my system is a blistering-fast 24 GHz Dual-core Intel-based IMac running System 10.5.8. The microphone I chose is the MXL USB.009 Condenser Microphone, because of its pre-analog-to-digital conversion monitoring capability (no delay) and its overall "sweetness". I will be adding Shure and Sennheiser mikes for their unique signature sounds, eventually running everything through a Mackie board with Phone Patch. (For now, I use a "Magic Jack" internet phone system for live communication during recording). For my core application I use GarageBand and some features of Audacity. I am thoroughly familiar with its' pre- and post-processing capabilities. I have an anechoic booth, and my headset is a Sony MDR 7506. I use a Wave Window Digital oscilloscope, which I have found to be extremely helpful in getting the utmost sound from my gear.
Additional Skills
I have been in the design/print end of the marketing/advertising business for a thousand years(!) it seems, with a deep understanding of the necessary "punctuation" of selling points, and have won over 100 awards for my artwork. I come from a position of having precious little time to get my salient points across (Filmmakers get 2 hours, I get about five seconds) and have long been interested in the elegant art of the voice-over. I have heard for years that I have a voice that belongs on radio, TV, movie trailers and especially narration. I am extremely well-spoken, thanks largely to my mother, and have impeccable grammar, usage (you won't hear me use the words "nukyular" or "preventative"), and structure. I am an accomplished copywriter as well
