I have a deep, easily understood voice with the ability to modify my intonation for most situations. Having lived in several different parts of the United States, I have a neutral accent that fits well in broadly distributed content.

My voice is an excellent choice for narration, presentations and commercials.

I can be downhome or uptown and everything in between. Very clear enunciation and excellent diction.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Southern accent - I am a native dang nab it, British accent (more Cockney than not), Brooklyn accent - alright my interpretation, Minnesota accent (seen the movie, "Fargo", then you've heard the accent), Indian - as in technical support not American Indian, Jimmy Stewart, Arnold (the governor - not my best), Bill Clinton, Mr. Bill (Oh-nooo!)

My Voice Experience

In the past two years, I have written and recorded my company's radio commercials. All 30 second spots thus far and have about 6 to my credit.

My career experience has encompassed every aspect of business and marketing and I have managed large (40+ people) and small (1) operations. This gives me a keen understanding of business and the role advertising can play.

I have extensive large group presentation experience, have taught classes at the university level and generally have a huge comfort level with speaking publically.

My career has required frequent development of scripts and ad copy for which I have a good talent. Many of my positions have required technical writing and communication and I adapt easily to scientific and engineering needs.

My Training

No formal voice training - I am considered a "natural" but I "clean up well" and take direction well. I have a significant vocal range with a passable falsetto and excellent tenor/bass.

I have a BS in Marketing Management, an MBA and additional postgraduate class work.

Have been a certified Toastmaster with a few speaking competition wins notched.

My Studio Equipment

A microphone and a PC plus some basic software. I typically work at a radio station's studio where they have the appropriate recording, mixing and editing tools (hardware and software).
