My Voice Experience

Contagious is the best word to describe this performing artist. Sir Charles Ponder (Sir Cha’s) has consistently brought throngs of partygoers to their feet and thoroughly entertained them. He has entertained crowds as the lead singer for The Distraxshuns who appeared regularly at Patrick’s Bar & Grill, Elvis Presley’s Club Memphis, Senses, and the Memphis In May Triathlon. Also, during his tenure as Distraxshuns front man, were the only cover band to play at the Hard Rock Café Memphis and the Gibson Lounge, The Distraxshuns were the most highly requested cover band at these venues.

Sir Cha’s with The Distraxshuns brought an international crowd to their feet at the Handy Pavilion for the Graceland’s International Elvis Tribute. Sir Cha’s was the entertainer of choice for Private Parties like: the Heart Gala, Symphonies Black Tie Gala, Heart Walk, and the Clear Channel Christmas Party for two years. This entertainer’s “deep sultry tones” never disappoint his audiences and his “soulful renditions” make each song his own. Sir Cha’s with the Memphis Soul Express had crowds wanting to hear more at 2005 Southern Heritage Festival, The Collierville Festival, and the 2004 South Main Festival. From ringing in the New Year to the Christmas spectacular, and from the Premier Private Clubs to the Premier Casinos, you are guaranteed to see an unforgettable performance.

Currently he is an artist on Inside Sounds’ CDs; “Fried Glass Onions I & II”, and “The Art of the Motorcycle”. This 1996 Harrah’s Chairman’s Award Winner for Excellence in Entertainment is a classically trained vocalist, gifted performer and has received rave reviews for his roles in stage plays with Memphis’ premier Theater & Opera Companies.
