Voice Description

I have been a professional broadcaster since I was 15 years old, and have done a variety of things in radio and television. For many years I was a news and sports anchor, so I can provide an energetic sportscaster delivery, but I also can do an authoritative news delivery. I am able to do accented delivery, particularly Southern accents, some foreign accents. I am easily able to develop a character voice, either lowering or raising my voice along a considerable range.

My Voice Experience

My voice-over career started as an experiment. I was doing radio in a small-town radio station at 15 years old, trying desperately to not sound 15 years old. My voice actually changed while I was working at the radio station. But during that time, I first started developing voices for station promotions.

Since then, I've had more straight delivery voice-over roles, but I've never stopped working on my voice characters or my delivery. I can now provide a unique-sounding authoritative voice, one which can be a signature for a product or service. When you hear my voice, it would bring a positive association to the service.

My past voice-overs have been used in commercials, company videos, public service announcements, news broadcasts, and on public address systems.

My Training

Bachelor's and master's degrees in journalism. Have attended numerous broadcast conventions and workshops over the last twenty years.

My Studio Equipment

Have audio editing software as well as access to nearby professional studios.

Additional Skills

I can deliver a finished product if requested. I am able to edit and send finished files. My knowledge of the broadcast industry and non-profit and higher education may also be of use to certain projects.
