Voice Description

For villians, my voice can range from that of a sing-song psychotic child, to a seasoned, seductive murderess to a crazed asylum inmate, to an old witch. It can be threatening, sharp, manical, suggestive, soft as a whisper and hard as glass. Ages range from early teens to old crones.

I can play spunky, down on their luck teens, young women who have experienced loss, love and betrayal. Alternately, my voice can be peppy, prissy, airheaded, childish, sexy, playful, or strong for heroines/side-kicks, premadonnas and jealous wannabes.

My voice is great for manical laughs, shouts of battle, fits of rage and overdramatic sulking/tears.

For narration, my voice can be light and enthusiastic, serious and sorrowful, smooth and expressive, persuasive, positive and honest. For horror narration, I muster just the right dash of eerieness.

-Villianesses of a serious or satirical nature. Think Disney's and the Wizard's of Oz's witches.
-Creepy sulkers; Harry Potter's Moaning Murtle
-British, Australian, African, Canadian, American, Southern, Swedish, Transilvanian and French accents.

My Voice Experience

I wish I could list my experience, but unfortunately I have none. Looking for a chance and a kind heart to help me get started!

My Training

No formal experience yet. However, I am able to do "method-voicing". I can soak up and apply a person's speech patterns, expressions, mannerisms, moods and charisma to my voice work, just by being around them for a short time. This is extremely useful when I am trying to develop new, realistic characters.

My Studio Equipment

-Laptop's built-in microphone, Audacity, Sound Recorder, and access to a friend's professional mic, although I've yet to try it out.

Additional Skills

I am co-operative and hardworking, willing to redo and rework things for as long as it takes to get it perfect. I am committed and passionate. When it comes to movie/film/television characters I do everything I can to get to know them, to understand and treat their situation with compassion. I imagine meeting them in real life and consider the differences between how they behave with a variety of friends and foes and in private. I become them, visit places in my local area that may relate to the character. I try to see things from their perspective to truly become who I need to be for the role.
