Voice Description

My voice is naturally deep but I can manipulate it to some degree. In it's natural state it is comfortable, reassuring, and has southern twinges. I can alter intonation and enunciate more clearly to take on a more clipped and northern quality. For the most part, I would describe my voice as warm and rhythmic. It would probably be best suited for narrations and commercials, but might be more flexible. I really have no experience in this field, but have been told on numerous occasions that I have a 'radio voice' and thought I should investigate the opportunity.

My Voice Experience

I've never really recorded my voice professionally, but I do work in a very public position. I manage a restaurant and have had to use my voice in many different respects; barking orders as a general in the trenches of the kitchen, finessing my employees in individual conversation, acting as counselor to those troubled employees and guests, playing host to all those myriad faces that grace our doors on a daily basis, politicizing at corporate meetings, playing teacher during training classes for newer team members, seducing whether it be a sale or an actual seduction, closing as in a deal, sale, or seduction, offering thanks for a job well done, etc. etc.

My Training

Bachelors degree in Psychology from UT Knoxville.
Studies included poetry(including writing and public reading) conflict resolution/mediation, creative writing,
philosophy.

None to speak of.

Additional Skills

I'm an excellent salesman and have been in the restaurant business for 16 years during and following college. I have extensive public speaking experience and am able to 'paint the picture' with my words. I can be animated and goofy or somber and serious and can switch between the two at the drop of a hat. I am primarily an actor because my profession requires me to wear a mask on a daily basis, but I take my work very serious and am constantly in search of knowledge. I read constantly, am fascinated by film, love the experience of life and find humor in something that happens in every day. I have had experience in modeling in my youth, and do not naturally fear crowds or challenging situations. I am simply investigating options based on my natural voice, personality,desire to succeed, and love of a challenge.
