My Voice Experience

I worked as a disc jockey for the now-defunct WNND in Cary, North Carolina for four years, from 1992-1996. The format was adult contemporary, and the slogan was 'Smooth Jazz'. My approach to this was very conversational, to match the tone of the music.

I have recorded some mock commercials, just to get experience with the recording studio.

I have done voice-overs for my previous company, Kennametal Inc., in a few of their internal interactive CDs. I was also their 800-number voice for their Telesales department.

I am also an alto voice for jingles, have sung on stage, as part of a band, and as part of a choir. I can do anything in the pop, jazz, blues, country or sacred genre.

My Training

I learned how to speak on the radio during my years as a disc jockey, from my program director. Over the years, I have used this talent at the companies that I've worked for, lending a professional voice to voice mail, interactive CD and radio interviews.

I have also studied music at Rutgers University in NJ.
