Voice Description

Smooth, polished, resonant, rich alto voice, articulate for use in professional settings (voice acting in training videos in business settings) and narration, PSAs, announcing, etc. My voice has considerable flexibility and range which makes it equally ideal for use in cartoons, video game voice acting, and recording books on tape. My voice can also be quite calming and excellent for use in guided meditation recordings.

My Voice Experience

I will have to be honest here. I have no professional voice acting experience. I have done a stress management seminar at a university in California using a guided meditation technique I'm quite adept in. I have 20+ years of meditation experience, including doing guided meditations.

I have also read books to children and adults in a home care setting.

When it comes down to it, I'm just starting out doing this for pay, mostly because everyone I know keeps telling me I should be doing this.

My Training

I've been trained in music, 10 years in various Catholic schools and at the University of La Verne, La Verne, California 1993 Voice Workshop. I've sung opera, show tunes, I was in a small local folk band in the 70s and various choirs including University of La Verne choir. I have an alto singing voice that is quite polished and resonant.

I've also taken a class in TV production at the local cable station in La Verne, California, through the University of La Verne in 2001, largely because I had an idea for a show I wanted to develop, though my original plan for it had been to develop it for radio. Along with the TV production class I learned video editing overlaying a voice track and music sound track.

Additional Skills

By nature, I'm a master storyteller. I can assume a character and create a memorable, quirky voice for it. I discovered when I was in drama in high school that I have quite an innate talent for projecting my voice amazingly well! This has come in handy for raising children.
