My Voice Experience
Three years ago I was offered a community radio show. It began as someone elses baby and quickly became mine. In the three years since the show has been on the air it has morphed dramatically. Year one was a mix of political chat, pop culture chat, music, my space selections etc. Year two was a cohost and myself with a more streamlined music list and less talk. This year I have a new cohost with our show called "The Girlie Show". Our two hours every Saturday consist of a lively mix of pop culture chit chat, gossip, music, talk about our community and what is happening in it. It's grand fun!
My Training
I have no formal education in the voice over industry. In the 80's I did a series of workshops in Toronto through continuing education covering the voice over industry.
I also did a weekly radio show in High School.
My Studio Equipment
I own a imac desktop and have garage band which has a decent recording program in it. I'm investigating just how it works.
Additional Skills
I have a background in fashion advertising which has given me inside information about how to sell things. What works, what doesn't etc.
