My Voice Experience
My love and talent for performing, singing and connecting with audiences first lead me to opportunities such as 3 consequtive years in distinguished honor and state choirs. Later on, I started to glean vocal and performing experience with larger audiences, beginning with corporate-sponsored state-wide karaoke contests for which I have been a strong regional contender 3 times since 1999. The most recent of those was September of 2004. In between those years I complemented the karaoke experience by being a guest singer for local house americana and jazz bands in the Phoenix area including open mic nights. Other areas of my experience include recording audiobooks on tape for the library at UNLV and being and in-demand spanish translator in all previous jobs.
My Training
Vocal training began for me during my years in high school choirs, which taught me to sing with a group. Presently, I train my voice daily with a book and cd set called The Contemporary Singer, by Anne Peckham and am a voice student at Mesa Community College in Mesa, AZ, known within the state college system for its large and reputable music department. I am a mezzo soprano with about a 2- 3 octave range. I have worked in many different customer service oriented settings, so I fully understand the need for a voice to sound warm and professional. I have also had a life-long love of playing with dialects from other cultures, which lead me to start studying spanish in high school. I enjoyed it so much that I continued it through college and even chose it for a major at UNLV. I have been speaking spanish fluently since then and I have always had the talent of a very good accent, which I have been told sounds to have an Argentine slant, which is funny because I've never been there.

Additional Skills
My voice is a multi-faceted talent but my primary gift and passion lie in singing, performing, connecting with, and uplifting audiences. I ultimately see myself as an independent music and accomplished voice over artist. I am also a very good song writer (lyrics, vocals, harmony) and tend to do my best work with a co-writing partner who can provide instrumentals.
