Voice Description

My voice is very versatile. I've been told that my voice is sultry and sexy. However, it can also be fun and playful. People have also told me that I have a wonderful telepnone voice, and that the company should have me be the only one to answer the phone. I've noticed, too, that my voice seems to be very soothing to people around me. I also read aloud very well, and use a lot of expression. I strive to paint a picture with my voice when I read.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I have one character voice that I created to talk for my Rottweiller. Her name is Midget. She has a great, fun personality.It's so funny because Midget will say something and people will actually carry on a conversation with her. She mispronounces words sometimes, and people will correct her as if they were teaching a child, and then realize, "Oh my goodness, I'm talking to a dog!" Midget recorded our answering machine message, and people will call when they KNOW we're not home just to hear her message. I can't count the people, including businesses, that have called and can't leave a message because they're laughing too much! If you'd like to hear her, just call (931) 647-8764. I also love to sing, and very often been told that I have a beautiful voice.

My Voice Experience

As of this time, I don't have experience in voice over work. However, I have no doubt that I could do an excellent job if given the opportunity. I have done some recording in a studio. I recorded a Christian album in 1997 for Platinum Plus Records in Nashville, TN. My producer was Robert Metzgar. I also recorded two albums in Canton, New York for personal use.

My Training

My training has been life experiences. I have enjoyed singing all my life, and have been in several Praise teams. I've also sang in quartets, trios, ensembles, bands, and also Sweet Adelines. I work with special needs children so I read aloud a lot.

My Studio Equipment

I own a Peavey mixing board with speakers. I use a CD player and a tape player for background music. I use Shure microphones.

Additional Skills

As stated before, I work with children. When I read to them, I try to paint a picture with my words. This is of utmost importance because I want them to learn how to read with feeling and make it interesting. I believe they learn by example so I read to them at every opportunity.
