My Voice Experience

Growing up in Minnesota and Montana, Carolyn Stotes' passion for voice and stage began in numerous high school musical theater productions. Her singing also, garnered her winning medals in the 'A Vous La Parole' french singing contest. Carolyn's love of theatre drew her to study Shakespeare and acting at the NYU Tisch School Stella Adler Conservatory, as well as Cambridge University in England.

As Carolyn began voiceover training with Nancy Wolfson of braintracksaudio.com, her prior experience of storytelling and music naturally blended together into what some have called a 'California Cosmopolitan' voice.

Moving to Los Angeles in 2001, she attended the USC theatre program, and soon landed on camera jobs in television, film, and national commercials with credits including shows on MTV and Fox, as well as a role on the hit series Cold Case and films such as Stuck on You and Bobby. Her journey with voice continued as she fell in love with Jazz and began writing, singing, and producing her own music.

Carolyn has honed her unique humor and playfulness doing improvisation at Improv Olympics recently becoming an alumni of IO West, as well as studying at the Second City Training Center, and Groundlings. She is a member of Sag and Aftra and has been recognized for her notorious scream in the 7up Ad 'Burping Bunnies' as well as her smart chic read in the recent Carls Jr's Chili Fries Commercial, airing during the 2008 Oscars.
