Voice Description

I have a contralto singing voice - and anywhere from a tenor/baritone (male register) to mezzo-soprano speaking voice. I have been a voice actor for 20 years. When you hear my voiceover dub, you'll hear a variety of voices: from a New York dialect to a humorously libidinous cheese eater to a serious Wall Street financial type. Dialects are my best thing: cockney, high British, Southern (American), Irish, Scottish, German, French, Italian, New England (Vermont/New Hampshire), Mid-west (Minnesota and Pittsburgh). I can also do several speech impediments - though the likelihood of using these is probably minimal, at best!

My Voice Experience

I have done overdubs for company industrials (for in-house training of employees), conference style interractions of young women talking about fashion, radio commercials for top 40 station competitions, radio jingles, non-scripted, improvisational commercials for radio, book narration, etc.

My Training

I earned a B.A. in Voice (Music) with a minor in Theatre at Rollins College in Winter Park Florida and an M.F.A. from the Ohio State University in Acting. I was trained in Lessac, Laban, Linklater vocal production techniques. I currently teach and coach acting and voice (musical), as well as vocal production for the stage wary! I have studied voice (classically trained) for over 30 years and can sing just about any genre I'm interested in: jazz, r&b, opera, cabaret, musical theatre, folk, pop, etc.
