Voice Description
My natural voice has been described as rich, warm, classy, friendly, melodic, sexy, thoughtful, authoritative and fun. However, character voices can be dangerous, sweet, pathetic, zany, frightening, manic... the list goes on and on! The only limits here are need and imagination.
I love doing longer narratives, and especially enjoy work of a technical nature. I consider it my job to make "technobabble" clear, accessible and friendly, just as much as I consider it my job to make Shakespeare clear, accessible and friendly when I'm doing one of his pieces.

My Voice Experience
I have been acting for over eighteen years now. I have experience doing voice acting on the radio, voiceover narration for regular biweekly retail training sessions, live stage productions, video and film projects, improvisational comedy, and much more.
My Training
In grade school, I was the little kid jumping out of her seat with her hand raised anytime there was an opportunity to read out loud... and I haven't stopped since. Much of my vocal training stems from my acting training, and I pride myself on learning something new with each and every project. I also read voraciously, and practice voice over work daily.
My Studio Equipment
I do most of my recording at my home studio here in Gainesville, Florida. Most clients aren't all that interested in my equipment (please do feel free to skip it!), but I know that other VO people like to "geek-out" about it, so here you go:
Microphone: M-Audio Nova (the best condenser mic at this price-point, period... however Shure's SM7b tops my mic wishlist, just in case you're thinking about getting me a lovely gift).
Backup Mic: AKG D9000 (this was my son's mic for backup vocals for his band-- I'm surprised at how well it has performed as a broadcast/vocal mic).
Preamp: ART Tube MP Project Series (this amp doesn't seem to have a lot of power, but the tonal quality is beautiful!).
Headphones: Sony MDR-V6s (nearly identical to the 7506s, but less expensive and with a wider frequency response).
Software: Adobe Audition 2.0 (I also still use Audacity on occasion-- what a great free program!).
Additional Skills
I've worked as a professional copywriter for fourteen years, writing direct mail, print ads, radio ads, on-hold phone message suites, direct response marketing and much more. I know what you want, because I've sought it from voice talent myself!
If your project needs a little editing, or even a more thorough word "massage," look no further-- I'm able to help you :)
