My Voice Experience

I have recorded a 73-minute meditation/self-hypnosis CD, using a rich, sensual voice which helps listeners get into a meditative state. Since 1980, I have had a long career using my voice in a variety of settings and purposes. I have lived in several states, from Alaska to New York to Oregon and California; currently I live in the Cleveland, Ohio area, will travel or record in my home for your specific needs. I have been the voice for audiovisual products for the National Park Service, describing in an engaging manner the stunning natural wonders and intriguing human history in a variety of our nation's parks. In addition to these professional educational and informational programs, I have worked as the media voice for 12 years for Channel Islands National Park in California, appearing on hundreds of radio and television interviews and prepared presentations, both live and recorded.

My Training

I completed the Masters Class in voice over work with Such A Voice in Vermont, where I received personal coaching and training. In addition, I have worked as an educator, public speaker , and media (news) spokesperson with the National Park Service (NPS) since 1980. While working for the NPS I completed, as well as taught, many workshops and training courses.

My Studio Equipment

I use in my home studio the MBox2 Pro, Pro Tools Software, GT50 microphone.

I place my mind and heart into the subject about which I am recording, and connect in a very personal way to the audience I am addressing. I feel that the ability to use my voice--not just the sound, but also the emotional range that I have developed--is my greatest personal strength in the field of voice over professionals. I work diligently to provide to my clients exactly what they are searching for to communicate their ideas, information, and product. I am also a musician--a harpist--and feel I have creativity and musicality in how I use my voice.
