My Voice Experience

After 30 years on-air in radio in the NY market and years of singing and acting, I'm finally listening to the scores of people who have told me I should make a living using my voice for commercials and voice over work.

My VO experience includes lots of PSAs and commercials for various radio stations I've worked for over the years and projects I've done for my event-planning videographer colleagues - and now I'm ready to break into the big-time!

I'm a ball of talent and drive. I've been doing voices since I was a kid absorbing all the fantastic characters in hundreds of Vitaphone and Merry Melodies cartoons. While my friends are laughing at the antics shown in today's commercials, I'm the one sitting by my TV with my H4 recording the announcers and walking through the woods in my backyard replicating spoken copy and making up crazy voices.

Do you remember the person that gave you your first break? I remember my first acting job (6 years old playing Emile DeBecque's daughter in South Pacific), my first radio exposure (reading the newspaper for the blind on-air in Boston) - you could be the foresighted angel that gives me my first professional VO break. If talent, spirit, dedication, drive and open willingness count for anything - I'm here and ready to deliver.

My Training

Emerson College - Bachelor of Science & Speech
Weist-Barron - voice over study (back in the 1980s)

HB Studios - acting, scene study, dance

Radio - 30 years of on-air experience announcing top 40, pop, golden oldies, talk, country, traditional American music and public affairs programming in the NYC and Boston markets (non-commercial and commercial stations)
PSAs, Commercials - produced, recorded and wrote copy for spots for various stations

Acting - singer, actress with movement in musicals and plays (such as West Side Story, Flower Drum Song, Grease, Godspell, The Women,...)

Vocalist - current lead vocalist with bluegrass/country/swing/celtic band - with appearances at festivals and clubs throughout the NY tri-state area, former cabaret singer
