I have a sophisticated British accent and an easy conversational style.
I enjoy using variations on my natural accent as required.
I am authoritative, persuasive and convincing but can also be sexy and funny; bubbling with enthusiasm for commercials and promo work.
When I use my voice is its the lower range: warm and deep, it is ideal for narration where I engage fully with the material to deliver it with passion and humor as appropriate and varying voices for different characters.
I take direction well and particularly enjoy the challenge of interpreting copy in order to deliver it in a variety of styles

My Voice Experience

Although new in professional voice over, my voice has been pivotal to my career.
In the UK a major part of my work was lecturing to and training doctors as well as representing them in disciplinary enquiries. I learned to project, enunciate and deliver material in a compelling manner.
I now work as a Relief Presenter on the Classical Music Station (KMFA) here in Austin Texas where I am continuing to hone my skills.
I am the voice of "Professor Good Habits" for a soap product (Soap Time) which is soon to be launched in the USA.

My Training

I am a UK trained doctor of medicine.
I am relatively new to the field of voice over but have over twenty years experience of lecturing and delivering seminars to large and small groups.
I have also published widely on my field of medical malpractice and I write travel based information for an internet company.
I trained in Voice Over in Austin Texas with Renee Beale.
I am a relief presenter on Classical Radio here in Austin.

Additional Skills

My work outside of voice over has required me to assimilate and analyze information rapidly. I am a "people person" and enjoy interacting to deliver what is required. I take direction well and am flexible and enthusiastic. I am also hard working and reliable. I enjoy working to deadlines and take great pride in delivering a top class product. I like nothing better than a challenge!
