Voice Description

At an early age music became a major influence in my life. I began playing the piano at the age of 5 and I learned music theory that way. When I was 10 yrs old I began recording radio shows in my cousin's basement. They were tonemater classics. In High School I hooked up with a college radio station WKKC 89.3 FM on Chicago's South Side.

While a part of the Young People's Radio Network I served as Hot Mix Director and worked along with other teens from all over the city to produce 2 mix shows and 1 variety show all urban/dance format. I continued to work with WKKC until 1996. I have worked in all departments of WKKC serving as the assistant to the Progam Director, Production Director, Remote Engneer, In-Studio Remote Engineer, Mix Show DJ, On Air Talent, and Event/Street Promotions.

In 1994, I was afforded the opprtunity to work at a prestigious Black Junior College. This place is where I really paid a few dues. The pay sucked but I got to Manage a 2.5 million dollar performing arts center. So, I call it pretty even, especially when you get to work with the likes of Phil Corhan, Wenton Marsalis, Oscar Brown, Maggie Brown, The Legendary Chi-Lites, The Najwa Dance Corps, and the Muntu Dance Theater. The list really goes on. I learned what it takes to put on a live theatrical performance which also led to my working on several road shows with Najwa Dance Corp as their Road Manager.

In 1998 I begain a dual career as a customer service agent and a studio engineer. Working with Galre Studios and DNA Music I helped to develop artists. I worked with artists in the studio as well as on stage to cultivate the total artist.

The Coporate thing had it's associated successes but in the end... I am a DJ MAN!

So, Nowadays you can catch your favorite DJ rocking at a club near you, and running the boards at Crawford Broadcasting for Rejoice 102.3 FM, Soul 106.3 FM Home of the Tom Joyner Morning Show, and The Michael Baisden Show, and WPWX Power 92 Home of the Trey the Chokolit Jock's Morning Jump Off and Silky Afternoons with the Wild Hundreds Son Sam Silk in the afternoon I'm in, and I'm hungry! Let's eat!
