At the moment I am studying theatre at Pepperdine University in Malibu. I have done a few things here that are as different as night and day. Two examples are from a student directed play and a main stage. I was the 'Wise Woman' in a Japanese play called Nishikigi. In this my voice was low and reserved, sustained and lulling. While, in a performance of Anything Goes, I played Mrs. Harcourt. She is loud, flamboyant and her voice moved up and down within every word she spoke. I have also recorded different things with the sound department. Some of these include kittens, children laughing, children singing/humming, children crying, coughing, screaming bloody murder, and lullabies.
As I said before I am studying at Pepperdine University to attain my Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Acting and Production Design. I have taken a Role Development class, a Textual Analysis class, and an Acting class as of right now. Currently I am a junior and will be continuing my studies for the next year in Malibu. Also, this summer I had the opportunity to Apprentice at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts. There I also took two classes, one in acting and one in voice. I have been singing since before I could talk and participated in my church band on several ocations.
I am an extremely hard working indiviual and am willing to give a 2000% of myself to whatever I do. I have some technical skill and work in the costume and scene shops on campus. I have danced on and off since I was 8 years old so I have great rythem and am a fast learner. I also love to write and was thinking about a creative writing minor. Most of the things that I write are in novel from and I am working on two books right now.
