My natural voice is generally warm and friendly, however it is very flexible. Modifying my tonality, pacing (including very fast), etc. I can sound harsh, soft, cartoonish, older, feminine, gravelly, ethnic, etc. I take direction very well.

My Voice Experience
I served as dialect coach for two plays in which I also performed: a proper British accent for Patrick Hamilton's "Rope," and a slightly modified New England accent for Thornton Wilder's "Our Town." More recently, I used a German accent for the role of psychiatrist Dr. Feldman in "Duet for One." My first VO was as a war radio announcer for "Mister Roberts" which was used in two consecutive community theater productions.

Private and workshop instruction with Lori Tritel; class instruction with Michael Bell. Over 30 years of self-taught vocal characterizations.

My home studio includes Sonar 8.5 Producer Edition, Athlon XP 3000+ CPU, 8 GB RAM, Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, Tascam US-144 MKII Audio Interface, Rode NT-2A large diaphragm mic with shock mount, stand. Sonar includes built-in effects including compression, gating, reverb, time-based effects (chorus, phase, etc.)
Additional Skills
Member of the Long Beach Shakespeare Company (LBSC) since March 2007, for which I've appeared in over 20 productions, including Richard III, Romeo & Juliet, A Comedy of Errors, The Maltese Falcon, Merry Wives of Windsor, Othello, Alice in Wonderland (staged reading where I performed 25 unique voices), the company's live staged recreation of classic radio shows including Orson Welles' 1958 broadcast of the War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells. I portrayed the Stage Manager in "Our Town," and also served as the dialect coach. I was favorably reviewed in Backstage Magazine for my portrayal of Dr. Feldman, a German psychiatrist in a two-person play, "Duet for One," by Tom Kempinski.
