My Voice Experience
Having spent a great deal of time in the music and travel industry, the VO work has concentrated on band demos and travel logue commentary - and most recently, novelty books (Hallmark).
My Training
Education:
Becoming aware of his vocal and acting abilities at an early age, Doc pursued a major in music and theatre at the University of Wisconsin which lead him to fulfill creative desires in a multitude of disciplines.
Performed and Directed in several genres:
As a performer and director, singing with a professional opera company was interspersed with directing musical theatre including a multitude of Gilbert & Sullivan performances. He was also a member of a professional a cappella doo-wop quartet that traveled internationally for five years.
On-air experience:
Spending many years in sales and marketing positions primarily in the travel industry, he hosted a call-in format radio program for over two years. He also enjoyed a period of journalistic writing with national exposure. These were particularly satisfying projects. Directing responsibilities range from stage, for various intimate theatre events, to music director for many full production, musical theatre standards.
Working with the voice:
Choral direction has always been a part of his most serious and fun-filled activities, as working with vocal production has always been most important to him, with early voice-over experience gained in narrating band demos, travelogues and novelty items.
While taking voice over work seriously, he brings a fun and creative attitude, along with considerable experience, to the recording studio with the unique ability to intimately communicate with YOUR audience, instilling a lasting believability into your product or service.
