Voice Description
My natural speaking voice is warm and deep, and has been described as "sultry." In addition, my natural speaking voice conveys a certain confidence and authority: ideal for narration.
That being said, I am a trained improvisor and I specialize in character voices. I'm extremely adept at shifting pitch, creating "character," and producing a number of accents/dialects. I'm a pretty fantastic mimic, with a great ear.
I also have training in mid-Atlantic (a.k.a. "Standard American") speech; so I am able to deliver a rather refined, smooth, and elegant sound: ideal for presentations.

The child of immigrants, I have the rare ability to mangle and stumble over language like a legit (still learning) foreign-speaker; also, I can sound like a man (convincingly).

I have a demo reel including commercial voice work, which includes "old Hollywood" styled voice work; girl-next-door VO work; as well as "the sophisticated and erudite consumer" VO work.
My Training
I have a BFA in Acting from Tisch School of the Arts (where I also completed majors in Psychology and English & American Literature). I recently completed an MA in Performance Studies, also at Tisch, graduating in September, 2008.
I studied with the Atlantic Theater Company for several years while at NYU, as well as Stonestreet Studios school for Film & TV (also a part of NYU).
Thereafter, I trained in improvisation and sketch-writing with The Upright Citizens Brigade in New York and in LA, later performing with the group "Livestock." I also trained in improv with Shira Piven and Armando Diaz.
I completed a Master Class with LAByrinth Theater Company in Fall 2006, and was an apprentice with LAByrinth in 2007.
I am currently a Teaching Artist with the Women's Project; I trained to teach Script Analysis with Karen Kohlhaas of Atlantic Thetaer, and have also worked as a substitute teacher at TVI Studios in Manhattan.
