My voice delivery can vary from high energy to sultry & sexy. My voicemail recordings are very friendly and welcoming without sounding boring and bland. My sound is warm, smooth, fun, and memorable.

I have a state of the art home studio with a stellar mic and pro-tools editing software. My ability to produce high quality audio productions quickly is definitely a plus. I even have the capability to record phone calls if that suits your audio needs.

My Voice Experience

I have been the voicemail voice for the Rosemont Theatre and Allstate Arena since 1995.

My voice also has been prominent on Chicago radio stations for two decades. Currently, I am an on air personality at WTMX "The Mix" in Chicago - the USA's leading adult contemporary radio station. Prior to WTMX I spent 8 years as a radio personality at 97.9 WLUP "The Loop". Other radio stations where you may have heard my voice (since 1986): WRCX,WIIL,WCFX. I also was news anchor/sidekick on the syndicated Kevin Matthews Morning Show in 1995. My radio jobs have included On Air Personality, News Anchor/sidekick, Program Director, Production Director, Promotions Director, traffic reporter.

I've done many voiceovers and commercials at my radio jobs. Through my own buisness CARA COMMUNICATIONS I have done plenty of narrations, voicemail recordings, messages on hold, radio station imaging, video voiceovers, internet voiceovers, etc.

I am also a seasoned interviewer and emcee. I often emcee charity concerts and events. I host a podcast called CARA'S BASEMENT where I interview celebrity entertainers.

My Training

Intermediate Voiceover at The Acting Studio, Chicago, 2006.
Central Michigan University, graduated 1988. Major: Broadcast & Cinematic Arts. Minors: Marketing & Advertising.
Theatre training at Cranbrook, 1983.
Active in radio, drama, and choir throughout high school.

My Studio Equipment

Shure KSM32 mic, protools, macbook pro. Also, the ability to record phone calls/interviews if needed. And portable equipment to do on-location recording/interviews.

Additional Skills

I am a happy wife and proud mother. I am goofy and silly but also serious and dedicated. My sense of humor can be used in my voice over work if necessary (I've done some halarious station imaging!).

My hobbies include gardening, cooking, maintaining a 100 year old house (lots of work!), going to concerts, shopping, enjoying nice restaurants and socializing.

My two addictions are watching HGTV and General Hospital.
