Voice Description

I've just recorded my first album in the UK during my MA degree in Songwriting. I have also got a BA (Hons) degree in music and have had the main part in musicals such as Into The Woods, Hans and Grethel, and Ohio. I've been a singer/songwriter for 10 years now, and I've performed in clubs in England and Norway. I write mostly for myself as an artist, but I can also write for projects. If I am to describe my voice I would say its warm, deep, breathy and I've also got a huge dynamic range!

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

When I sing/speak english I lose my accent. In Norwegian my accent is from Bergen, but I can also do a lot of different accents in norwegian. And I also speak swedish.

My Voice Experience

LIVE-EXPERIENCES:

o Came among the top 40 contestants in the Norwegian Idol 2007, from the original field of 8000.
o Came among the top 8 in semi-final of Live & Unsigned 2008, from the original field of 10 000.
o Won Battle of the Vox at O Neil’s in Bath 2008.
o Won the Norwegian culture fund for musicians to develop their talent twice.
o Performed original materials and covers in various nightclubs in Bath, such as the Farmhouse, Revolution, and Oneils.
o Performed original material in various nightclubs in Bergen/Norway, such as Madam Felle, Maxime etc.
o Performes in the church every Christmas.
o Performed in weddings, funerals, concerts in both England and Norway.
o Had the main part in the University’s production of the musical ‘Into The Woods’, as the witch.
o Won Kipriotisk Village bikini competition on Kos in 2004.
o Won the 2006 ‘Walk About’ Modelling competition in Bournemouth.
o Had the main part in Bergen female choir’s production of Hans and Gretel in 1996.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

MA in Songwriting, Bath Spa University, Sept 2007 – Sept 2008

• Studied how to bring songwriting to a publishable quality, and has developed a range of creative, critical, practical, communicative, industrial and research-based skills.

BA (Hons) 2:1 in Music, Bath Spa University Sept 2004 – July 2007

• Studied music to a high level with the main focus on singing, and songwriting. Developed exceptional vocal skills with an original sound, and a unique style of songwriting in a second language.

• Instruments: Piano and harpsichord – High level.

Additional Skills

I'm also a dancer and can do Jazz Ballet.

I am hired by the cultural society in Bergen, and once a week I coach a group of young people who wants to become a pop star.
