Voice Description
I am a professional and trained, experienced singer in musical theater, rock, classic rock, alternative, blues, folk, electronica vocals, industrial, goth. I learned VO from my singing classes and my musical theater and scene study classes, as well as just auditioning for any open part that seemed right for me and getting feedback from those.
I can sound quite young and cute (high school age), with innocence but obviously is not stupid. I can speak as college-age/sorority type, as I did that for 4 years at UC Santa Barbara.
I can seem like the ingenue or I can be quite technical and clear with reading directions, textbooks, journals, articles, narrations, etc. I can sound from age 15 or so to about 40. I am 31.
I do not have any speech problems or accents, but I am experienced with the German accent (Berlin), some Czech accents, a little British, Texas, Kentucky, Georgia, Louisiana (or a general Southern accent), and I can speak pigeon Hawaiian or inflect it. I have family there. I cannot do the "typical Asian accent" though I am half Asian. I can sound like a surfer, valley girl, young professional, young mother, even a little manic or depressed or mentally ill. (I was a psych major and can mimic the way different mental illnesses make people speak.)
I can easily sound like a b*tch, or very infuriated to the point where I am so mad I whisper instead of scream. Though I can scream/project quite well. My singing range is 2.5 octaves so my vocal tones also have decent variety.
Upbeat and cheery for commercials is easy for me, professional and giviing instructions is easy, spokesperson work (describing products in-detail to the public or at tradeshows) is natural for me, a leadershio tone is natural, and I can do sexy/adult but it will be more of a cute, young sound than a cigarette-smoking woman of the night. :)
I am open to trying out for most reasonable parts for my voice and since I am not very experienced, I offer competitive rates. I am great at receiving directions and following them, or I can record something several different ways so the client can choose the one he/she wants.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
German (Berlin) accent, surfer (mild or heavy with the lingo), stripper, dominatrix bossing a guy around, valley girl (light or heavy lingo), slight Canadian accent, slight British, slight Czech, slight Russian. I can pretty much pick up any accent if given audio to learn it, or if I am around people who speak a particular accent or whatnot. I can learn them pretty well usually within a week or two, even if I've never heard the accent before.
My Voice Experience
Most of my jobs were singing in-studio, but I did the voice mail system for Excela Merchant Services, a newscaster voice for an indie film in the UK, and I have had decent-sized speaking roles in indie films/tv, infomercials, student films, theater, idustrials, PSAs. Most were low-budget and small-scale but professional.
I would really like to pursue voiceovers, studio-singing, and non-fiction writing at this time, above the many other interests I have. I have a lot of industry connections but we know each other socially so haven't done any real work yet.
I can record from my home computer, other people's home studios, or pro studios. It depends if I have to pay for it or not.
My Training
UC Santa Barbara - 1995 to 2000. Psychology and communication studies major. I took several film classes, acting, singing, non-fiction writing, small group communication, inter-cultural communication, interpersonal comm., history of television, journalism, and I have been acting, singing, and modeling since I was a child, professionally. I am very trained with vocal exercises, breath control, tone, pitch, etc. I can't play instruments or read music but I can learn a song after hearing it a couple times. I've written over 100 songs or so, as well as non-fiction articles, essays, and poetry. About 15 of my songs have been released on small labels (mainly overseas), and I have had about 10 of my writings published.
I am currently working on writing my memoirs, because I don't think anyone has as odd of a life as I do. Really. I should be my own movie. Maybe I am, who knows?
I absolutely love to mess with my recording programs (both audio and video) at home. I mainly use Vegas Video (Sony) but I had two laptops stolen this past year and could not afford to replace them so I need to get everything in tip-top shape again. It prob won't take long, and I do have other editing/recording programs.
My Studio Equipment
USB mic, Vegas Video, Windows Movie Maker; I can EQ, and music and/or video as well, cut/paste, edit, all the basics.
Additional Skills
I work at a non-nude gentlemen's clue in West LA. It provides a ton of fodder for material and impersonations. I sing professionally in-studio for my own works as well as collabs or others' works, and I can perform live too but rarely do. I have 4 yrs experience in online and DVD vid editing and shooting, as well as stills. I can retouch, color correct, punch in audio where needed, etc. In the past, my jobs included (other than performing) being a dominatrix, waitress, psych researcher, and I worked in aerospace. I am not interested in "character" voices but rather my own natural speaking voices. I am with an agent for acting and just got an inquiry from another one that covers talent across the board so I may look into them and see how they are.
I am always seeking a good agent and manager. I have referrals to some big-name agencies but I have not tried them much yet.
I also do photography (mainly gritty semi-industrial images, abstract, and images of lights that form abstract pieces of art.) I paint as well, acrylic on canvas mainly, very similar to tne fusionart(website) style.
