Voice Description

I would say that my voice is very well suited to a soothing or informative narration, especially narration for young teens or children. Also I would be adept at voicing presentations or any sort of instructional video.

I would also feel comforable with character voices for animation or commercials as I have a very versatile sort of voice. I am able to speak rather quickly or slowly depending on which is needed.

I am able to create a very convincing English (UK) accent of the so called "BBC" variety, but am willing to attempt other variations of any accent.

I am currently in my seventh year of French study and while not fluent I am able to read it quite well.

My Voice Experience

As a beginning voice talent I have not had any formal experiences with the voice industry as yet and I am very eager to begin a career.

My Training

I haven't had any professional training yet. However I was very actively involved in the drama program at my high school and performed in musicals such as Fiddler on The Roof (Shaindel, chorus), Oliver! (Bet) Annie (Annette, Bonnie Boylan, Chorus), and Kiss Me Kate (Hortensio, chorus).

I also performed in non-musical productions including You Can't Take It With You (Rheba), and an original one act piece titled Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep where I won an award for my performance as the main characters eccentric best friend Lexie. In addition to this I also performed in a few small productions with children during my summers.

I took some informal drama classes in high school and was complimented on my soothing reading voice during a project on reading childrens books.

Additional Skills

I am an English major at a university and a very enthusiastic actrice. I enjoy writing and reading my work and singing. I am also in my seventh year of studying French (Parisian), and while my vocabulary isn't as developed as I would hope, I feel confident in my abilities to pronounce the language.

I have traveled to some islands in the Caribbean as well as to Japan and am planning a trip to France this spring. I feel very comfortable with people from other countries and am enthusiastic when learning about other cultures.
