Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

The greatest assets of my voice are my ears. I have a unique ability to reproduce sounds and voices heard, with very few areas of difficulty across the broad spectrum of voices.

My strengths in characterisation tend toward the strange- my practiced roster includes Yoda, Jar-Jar Binks, and Gollum.

I am proficient in most dialects of English, as well as English accented by foreign mother tongue including Russian, Spanish, French, and Hindi.

I speak and read French at an intermediate level, and I have near-perfect diction of spoken Chinese when reading from pinyin formatted text.

My Voice Experience

I am an only child, and furthermore, something of a loner. These attributes combined to force me into making my own fun as a child, usually involving making up people and voices, so I've really been preparing to do voiceovers for 20 years even though I had no idea at the time.
I practice as if I were being paid to. In effect, I am, because the hours I put into practice show through when I book jobs.

My Training

I have completed 2 years of a BFA in acting from the University of Regina. I studied voice under Kelly Handerek; a man widely recognized as one of the top voice instructors in Canada.

I attended a Mic 'n' Me workshop in early May, 2009 with Deb Munro; winner of the 2008 Voicey award for Best Female Voice.

I am currently enrolled in a one-year core group program with Vancouver acting coach Neil Schell. Other film workshops attended include:
The Art of Auditioning with casting directors Jackie Rooney (Lind) and Brenda McCormick
Scene workshop and audition preparation with Vancouver actor and acting coach Neil Schell

My Studio Equipment

I currently use an Audio-Technica AT2020 with a dual layer nylon pop filter at home.
