Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Most British (cockney, Northern, Dickensian, etc.) accents, Irish, Australian, Russian (accent only), French accent and limited vocabulary, Canadian, all regional dialects of the US from the deep south to New York City. I am equally fluent in advertising copy and radio DJ banter, and can perform a wide range of characters, including, but not limited to: grumpy old man, redneck, mad scientist, epic hero, robots and monsters.

My Voice Experience

I'll admit I am new to the world of voice recording, as I have usually performed live. Throughout high school and college I was often cast as either announcer or narrator for a number of theater productions and film projects. I have radio experience, and have worked as both a carnival barker and a nightclub DJ.

My Training

Bachelor of the Arts in English from Skidmore College. Wrote and directed Hardhop and Trypno. I was a part of the theater company for four years and had roles in Dracula and Untitled #2. I did the voice over narration for several student films, including the award-winning Studious Addictions. Creator and host of Sphurcular Vurtitude, a three hour DJ mix show on WSPN 91.1 FM. I worked as a carnival barker for Chex, Budweiser, Wolf Tobacco and NASCAR at the Texas Motor Speedway. I was the resident DJ at the Red Jacket in Dallas, the Circus Cafe in Saratoga, the Luna Lounge in New York, and then Fort Awesome in Austin.

My Studio Equipment

I have no studio equipment, nor am I really familiar with recording. I am quite skilled however at setting up a powerful sound system in a hurry.

Additional Skills

I am also an experienced writer. My articles and short stories have appeared both in print and on the web. I maintain a blog about comic books and am currently trying to publish my first novel.
