Can speak German, so performing with a German accent or dialect is no problem. Can impersonate Germans, Russians, Irish, and old western (cowboy) characters.

My Voice Experience

Have narrated numerous Easter, Fourth of July, and Christmas programs the past 20 years. Performed these narrations in various churches in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas. Recorded foreign language audio tapes for blind students while attending the University of Texas at Arlington, 1989-1992.

My Training

Was a Speech Communication Minor in college (18 hrs). Currently employed as an instructor in the aerospace industry, and have taught classes for the past 11 years. Studied for one year (2004) with William Williams at Aliso Creek Studio in Burbank, California. Studied for one year (2005) with Steve Katzenberg at Kalmenson & Kalmenson in Burbank, California.

Additional Skills

As an instructor, I am used to using my voice as a "tool" every day. I am highly imaginative and channel this into the writing of fiction short stories, which I then market to various magazines, enter into contests, and compile into collections for future publication. Also, having lived overseas (Germany) for a number of years, I have a great appreciation for differing cultures, viewpoints, historical perspectives, and of course, dialects, all of which help me to create the various character voices that come out of me!
