Voice Description

My "money read" is that of a slightly sarcastic and urgent delivery that punches through and sets your brand apart from the others, commonly heard on CHR and Active Rock formats. I'm also great at sentimental, happy, upbeat and light-hearted reads, commonly heard on adult contemporary and country formats.

In addition to radio imaging, I can be heard in several markets doing radio and television commercials for car dealerships, concerts, and special events.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Straight up central USA, with no accent. I grew up in the upper midwest, so I can pull out a Minnesota/North Dakota accent without even thinking about it, but outside of that, my natural dialect and delivery is what I use in 99% of my audio projects.

My Voice Experience

Over the years, I have voiced KCAJ-FM/Wild 102 (CHR/Hot AC), KTUN-FM/The Eagle (Active Rock), and several other upbeat and energetic formats. I've also done a lot of commercial production for Rushmore Honda/Rapid City, United Concerts/SLC, Bay Creative/San Fransisco, and others. I am a recognizable voice in a few smaller markets, including Twin Falls (Sun Valley), Idaho, Rapid City, South Dakota, and Roseau/Thief River Falls, Minnesota. From time to time, I voice regional or national spots. Outside of this, I am market-exclusive.

My Studio Equipment

Home studio consists of an SM58, warmed up through an ART StudioV3 Tube Preamp, EQ'ed through an Electrovoice Tapco 2230 EQ, processed through a Samson S-Com Plus, post-EQ through a Behringer Eurorack mixer, and into an Echo MIA interface.

Work studio consists of an SM7B, warmed up and processed through a Symetrix 528e, into a standard 16-bit stereo interface.

90% of my voicework comes out of my house. Urgent projects that require immediate turnaround during weekday midday & afternoons are voiced in the SM7B studio.

Additional Skills

I have several strengths... but among them all, one of the most important qualities that I possess that helps in maintaining the healthy day-to-day operation of a radio station, TV station or advertising agency is that I can turn around most projects same-day Monday through Saturday, and for those that require a little extra work, 24 hour turnaround at most.

I'm happy to provide revisions and alternate auditions on the request of a client, and will always strive to create audio excellence that will set your product or media apart from the rest.
