Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I can have a light British accent, and a heavy Southern girl accent.
With practice and concentration, I can have an Australian accent. I can imitate almost any accent if I first hear it.
My Voice Experience
In college, I took a Commercial Music class. In the class, we wrote copy and music for radio commercials for The Institute of Production and Recording, Smart Car, and Famous Dave's Barbeque. Then we'd go through the recording process and did our own VO's for the commercials.
For the IPR commercial, I used a peppy and enthusiastic voice. For the Smart Car commercial, I used a smooth British voice to promote the sense of eco-friendliness of the car.
My Training
I attended the Institute of Production and Recording in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I earned my degree in Music and Entertainment Business, but I'm more interested in the voicing aspects of the industry.
My Studio Equipment
I have access o ProTools, Logic, and many other music recording programs.
I also have access to excellent recording studios through IPR. I don't know much about recording equipment, but I have close friends who have earned their degrees in Audio Engineering, and they are amazing at what they do. They know how to expertly use the recording programs and recording equipment.
Additional Skills
I love anime. I often watching special features about the behind the scenes featurettes. I want to voice act for an anime show. I'm always saying silly things and making goofy noises. I often talk to myself as if I were an anime character: I'm always in character. :)
I've done a lot of research about the Japanese culture and voice acting for anime. I've taking voice overing classes in college, and absolutely loved it!
I recently got a job voicing for promotional purposes for a program called IRIS- Infants Remembered In Silence, Inc. I'm very excited about this opportunity!
