My Voice Experience
I have done many things over the years, from teaching statistics to representing furniture manufacturers and have always had a passion for voice-over and dialect work. I have performed in a number of theatrical productions utilizing dialect work, and am most passionate about developing character voices for commercials and cartoons. My most memorable assignment was an Animated Special, where I worked with Mel Blanc.
My Training
I hold a PhD in Psychology from the Ohio State University and a BA in Psychology with Minor in Theater Arts from UCLA. I have studied with many fine teachers in the voice over community, including Mel Blanc, Susan Blu, Bob Bergen, Nancy Wolfson, Charlie Adler, Pat Fraley and Dolores Diehl.
My Studio Equipment
I use a Audio-technica AT 2020 USB Microphone and Audacity Computer software to create MP3's.
Additional Skills
As a teacher and sales executive, I have always tried to infuse presentations with character and dialect work to add interest to what might otherwise be rather dry material. I perform on stage when opportunities are presented and have developed character types through such vehicles. Improv studies with Gary Austin have been important in that regard.
