My voice is best described as smooth, confident, and professional. I am constantly on the phone by trade, and thus my voice must be clear and pleasing to listen to, otherwise I cannot be successful in my job.

I am a native American English speaker. I speak some Spanish, and can affect German, northern North American (Wisconsinite and central Canadian), and several southern US regional accents, though I normally speak accentless American English.

Accents include Eastern European/Russian and German.

Impressions include George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Mickey Mouse.

My Voice Experience

I have no recent paid experience in voiceover work.

As a young child I did several advertisements through Charlie Cooper's studio in Charleston, West Virginia. They were mostly PSAs.

I have been a telemarketer and appointment setter in previous jobs, and am still frequently on the telephone. As part of my job, I have done voice mail recordings.

My Training

I took several acting classes in college at Washington University in St. Louis, and I took acting courses all through high school at Capital High School in Charleston, West Virginia.

My Studio Equipment

I use Audacity software with a classic handheld microphone run through the USB port to avoid ground-loop hum. I do have a pop screen, however I prefer not to use it unless necessary.

Mine is not a sophisticated operation. However, I do believe that my recordings are of high quality.

Additional Skills

I have a bachelor's degree in biology and a master's degree in nonprofit management. I can write my own copy if necessary and type quickly. I drive a stick-shift car and type 90 words per minute. I know how to make fried rice and declaw a cat. I can paint whole rooms in just a few hours. I once had pneumonia.
