My Voice Experience

After many years of being complimented on the warmth richness of my voice I decided to put my money where my mouth was ...or more honestly give it to The BBC's Children in Need fund, in 2006 by entering the competition to find the new "Voice of the British Telecom Speaking Clock"
Getting down to the last three out of 18,500 entrants gave me the confidence boost I needed.
Since then I have appeared regularly on local radio talk shows,recorded telephone announcements for friends' businesses, and was selected by a public vote to provide the welcoming voice for users of the Transporter Bridge in Middlesbrough, replacing the previous harsh announcement.
I currently provide voices for a Sydney based training company, Danish media company,UK hauliers and voice the characters of a series of children's books as well as children's stories for The One Hope organization, who said
"I can tell you ...that we are very happy with your work but what makes you stand out the most is your excellent customer service."

I use a Rode NT1-A microphone within my own sound proof booth which I edit via Wavepad digital audio software.I can deliver edited and finished voice tracks, either via e-mail or FTP.
