I have an earthy, easy going sound that people want to believe and trust. Some women think my voice has sex appeal and love to listen to me speak. I can be fun for silly characters. I have been compared to Sam Elliott, I think because we both have a distinct sound.

My Voice Experience

I've done many things, held quite a few different jobs and traveled through North America, parts of Europe and the Orient. Most of my hobbies have been involved with outdoor and some extreme sports such as snow skiing, general mountaineering and free rock climbing. I also have a passionate interest in sciences and history. Not much of this helps with my voice but I am a true 'jack of all trades" and am knowledgeable on many fronts.

My Training

I worked with Dan Levine and his "Such a voice" training workshops where I learned to read and take direction from a producer. Technically acute with the tools of my trade and can produce a fast turn around for most voice work I do.

My Studio Equipment

Currantly I'm usung a Groove Tube GT57 filtered by a standard pop-screen. A Digi-Designs M-Box mini to mix and a Mac (OSX) to bring it all together. I use various methods of sound deadening to keeps things quite and clean.

Additional Skills

I wrote and voice acted plays into my tape recorder as a child. I would also make a pretty good con man as I often find myself "putting people on" while telling a story so outrageous the listener thinks to themselves, "it could have happened that way". Sounds silly right? Maybe, but I love what I do!
