Voice Description

Okay, why even call me? Because even if you don't hire me, I'll do my Elmo impression and make you laugh until you cry (okay, it may only make my kids laugh, but what the heck).

I have not been in the business before, but I believe I have the vocal range and voice flexibility to perform radio commercial work, voice-overs, on hold messages, and audio books. I can also adapt to do more cartoonish voices if needed.

I've done a wide range of public speaking and singing (tenor voice). I can speak with no hesitation over long passages and believe I have a strong male speaking voice. For example, I am a cub scout pack leader, and often am the M.C. for events with 150 people, and I do not use a microphone. I think most people would say I am very natural and fluid and speak as though I'm talking to a friend. I never read off a script when I host these events, and always sound very natural.

I can speak while reading off written materials and still sound natural, as though I am speaking "off-the-cuff".

I also do some impersonations (kermit the frog, Elmo, Yoda, a few voices from the Simpsons) mostly for fun, but with work I can probably do whatever you ask. I can do an old man's voice (the old codger that says "Why, back in my day...", for example).

I'm very interested in a tryout or anything to prove that I can do such work. I'm sure everyone thinks this about themselves, but I hear some commercials and think "I can do that much better".
