I have over fifteen years training with voice talent from standard broadcasting of news and commercials, to a variety of different characters and pitches due to my acting training. Whether you're looking for a stentorian announcer or a warm and fuzzy man selling sweetness to the grizzled biker looking for new experiences, I can vary my voice and do a variety of my own characters or closely resemble familiar voices.

My Voice Experience

I have done many recordings for radio, television, film, web and video, as well as presenting myself as a speaker in classrooms or on stage. Loud or soft, wrinkly or booming, my voice commands and makes listeners actually listen. Whatever your need, I am extremely adaptable to most situations, from voiceover narrations to audiobooks and videogames.

My Training

I trained at Marietta College, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and a Certificate in Oral Communication with distinction. With all four years devoted to studying theatre/speech/radio/and television, I took every class available to strengthen and expand my vocal talents - diction, acting, broadcasting, articulation, voice (speaking/singing), oral interpretation, etc. I was a regular on the television, stage, and had several radio programs (recorded and live) during my stay at Marietta.

My Studio Equipment

I record with Audacity and Cool Edit Pro (never felt like Audition was a needed upgrade). I can use ProTools on my Mac, as well, if needed.

As far as recording equipment, I have several cardiod microphones as well as a studio electret. My main set-up is a small studio of Behringer equipment - a simple and reliable Eurorack with a diaphragm condenser microphone.

I also have a multitude of "things" I use for sound effect creation, as well as several guitars, a Djembe, two recorders, a tin whistle, a celtic harp, harmonica, keyboard and piano at my immediate disposal. I can strum, hum, or plunk out a quick tune, but don't ask me to perform any of the instruments live. I have contacts that do that better than I.

Additional Skills

I am able to produce my own audio works using my PC/MAC systems, as well as jingles (whether written by me or by a colleague), and I can deliver high quality demos and finished products on a wide variety of media, or even streamed via FTP.
