Voice Description

My voice possesses many tones and moods for different projects; it can be very warm and endearing for a heroic character, while being sarcastic, sinister or scheming for a villain, both for ages between 16 and 96. For commercials, it can be very blunt and to the point, and still bouncy and fun should the subject matter require it.

Whatever is required, my voice can find a happy medium between what the audition manager wants and what I personally feel will work.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Being from Canada, I was sadly not blessed with much of an accent, however I have attempted and practiced many English-speaking accents since the age of 5. A few that I can do are;

Russian; low to medium-high range, Australian; medium-low to medium-high range, British;Normal: medium to medium-high; Posh (think the rich guy from Gillian's Island); Cockney: medium, Scottish; medium to medium-high

My Voice Experience

Most of my voice-over experience comes from participating in various voluntary projects, such as audio dramas, fan dubs, machinima and abridged series, with my credentials including King Kirby (Smashtasm), the Daleks (Doctor Who: The Machinima series), all the ninja turles (TMNT Abridged) and Prowl in (Transformers: The Next generation [audio play]). However in recent weeks, I was given the chance to provide the voice of Airazor at TFcon 2011, and was personally selected by Garry Chalk (voice actor extraordinaire) to do so. (not bragging I swear haha).

My Training

The only real training I have ever been given is the few pointers I was given by garry Chalk at Tfcon 2011. Everything else has been crafted solely from practice.

My Studio Equipment

My "studio" is not that impressive, as it is my laptop with a headset microphone on it. I do use Audacity, so I am able to clean my audio up a bit should it be required.

Additional Skills

In terms of other skills, aside from going through school at the moment for mechanical engineering (so I can sound smart), I do consider myself to have good sense of humour, and I do enjoy being allowed to ad-lib as improv is a strong suit. Any job I've had had been in retail, though I doubt voice work is available for a shelf-stocker right? (haha).
