My Voice Experience

My background is in radio, theater, and education. I was a rock jock in the 80s. I attended the Trinity Rep Conservatory in Providence, Rhode Island and went on to become an acting fellow there. I currently teach English and utilize my acting abilities on a daily basis in the classroom.

Voice-over credits include:
Swarovski (radio ad; in-house industrials)
Gypsonite (radio ad)
US Navy (I voiced many training videos)
Rhode Island Parks and Recreation
The voice inside a Cabbage Patch Doll

Magraw Hill - When this company was based in Hartford, I was their primary female voice. I participated in numerous educational software projects. I did staight narrations and created voices for animal characters for interactive software.

Medical voice-overs include Yale-New Haven Hospital, Smilow Cancer Hospital, and several of their affiliates - I currently voice their TV and radio ads (spokesperson/announcer).

I am currently the spokesperson for the Rhode Island Design Center, a furniture store with several locations in New England. Prior to that, I was the voice of Thomasville Home Furnishings (both are affiliates of Cardi Furniture). I also do messages-on-hold for Cardi Furniture.

On-camera/TV credits include Mothers Against Drunk Driving, several grocery stores, Apex,Pepsi, and Coors Beer. I've also acted in a series of highly technical medical how-to-use-this-machine instructional demos. I'm not a doctor, but I can appear to be one! I recently played an enthusiastic football fan for Mansfield Bank, and I've done in-house videos for CVS Pharmacy and Amica Insurance.

I enjoy recording at Sonalyst Studios in Waterford, CT and Star Track Studios in Warwick, RI. I would be happy to facilitate connections to either studio.

My Training

Univerisity of Rhode Island (teaching degree, English Language Arts)
Rhode Island College (masters degree)
Trinity Rep Conservatory (completed a two year acting program)

I have taught on-camera acting to children and adults at All Childrens Theater and Perishable Theater in Providence, Rhode Island.

My Studio Equipment

I am located very close to Star Track Studios in Warwick, Rhode Island. Jack Rametta has state-of-the-art equipment and is able to virtually include clients in recording sessions. He is fast and reliable. The quality of his work is exceptional.

Additional Skills

I am reliable, facile, and quick-to-respond to direction. I'm also good at helping clients with on-the-spot problems, such as a text that's ten seconds too long or short. My years of radio experience left me with a good internal clock. I make adjustments quickly and will not waste anyone's valuable time in the studio. I am also a writer. I have published many poems and educational articles and have won a few poetry awards.
