Voice Description
My regular voice over speech has an animated timbre, described as 'soapy, floaty.' I can definitely be smooth or bubbly depending on the narration. When needed, I also have a great deal of power and volume in my voice; I am able to cut through chatter in a clear manner. People hear me.
Surfer slack slang, British posh-twit, or blousy American Princess slurring, all make up my 'glossia' voice talent. Comedic turns of phrase, with emphasis on delivery and timing, are also my forté.

My Voice Experience
Dada Urinal
----------------
cast idol fans or last-call followers
avatar broad sword swallowers
raised on lemon vinyl shining Glade
to clean the plaque on the Kinkade
sore pitiful empty your tacky soul
stuffed-up with food-court maki tuna roll
something hollowed from inside
eroded away by a dark matter rich side
she said I want to blow-up/ wanna grow
like an indie baby dancing viral video
a thousand-million hit flat-screen vision
a brave new frontier MySpace invasion
(chorus)
-
its all been long done or long unsaid
your back-street cred bled/ you're passed or brain-dead
jotting sweaty plots in a just-in moleskin journal
go soak your inner self in a Dada urinal
that's your cake in there
you should eat it too
a clean piece a fresh breath/ a Mento
a morimento
-
art works except when it doesn't
no need to be so sorry she surely wasn't
trade-in skill-set for a platinum selling setting
blue paradise with all eyes in vices betting
fuck still life she said I'm so evolution
like deep black water bacteria infection
spoiled apple cat-piss guava bird wing platter
spooned up sniffed up no matter
they don't feel me don't know my metier
can't win 'em all you know what they say
My Training
My B.A. degree was in fine art, but I have been a stage performer since grade school as well as writing creatively, exploring many different voices and characters. I have been a lead vocalist in rock bands, singing and recording since 1991. I have learned mic work over years of practice and practical performance, as well as how to communicate with very different groups of people. Regardless of the song style or lyrics or situation, the performance always needs a singer who can influence their audience -- i.e. sell their story. I use my hard-learned voice talents to do just that.

Additional Skills
I am an assistant for a local weekly public radio show, where I occasionally go on air to speak with authors. I have an understanding of the modulation required for radio voice, or podcasting.
I have been cast in student/independent films, and my voice over recordings have been used for performance art projects. I understand foley work and appreciate how sound can subtly or aggressively affect a listener.
Improvisational expression has always been one of my outlets-- I often record new voice mail greetings to amuse my friends and distract the uninitiated. ..Alas, I have not heard from you, with the PERFECT voice over job!
