Voice Description

My voice has a very distinctive timbre and a crisp sound. I am able to shape my voice to fit many different types of speech. I can change resonance from chest to middle to head, and combine that with speaking in from different parts of the mouth. So, I can perform anything from very deep and serious to very high pitched and goofy. I can sing moderately. I can perform some spanish and can use the following dialects: British, Irish, Scottish, Cockney, Russian, Italian, French, Arabic, New York, Spanish

My Voice Experience

I have been acting for two years and been admired for my vocal talents more than anything else. I have performed in 5 plays and used a different type of speech for each one, including an arabic accent, a light british accent, a deep-voiced southern accent, a "high school jock" accent, and a high british accent. I excelled the most in the Dialects class I recently took in college and was told I am "voice-over ready" by my professor.

My Training

Recently received a college degree in theatre at the University of Detroit Mercy (2002-2006), including classes in voice & diction, and dialects. Some private training with instructor Lori Garza working on resonance, volume, and breathing. I have also learned a lot from my father, who has been a radio personality and voice over performer for 25 years.

Additional Skills

I also obtained a criminal justice degree at the University of Detroit Mercy, ran on the NCAA division I track team for three years, and was nominated for valedictorian.
